Over the last year I have written a book (commissioned by Penguin) and it has been a fascinating journey. I fell in love with writing during COVID when I took over writing the Amanda Wakeley newsletters… I found my writing voice and have not stopped since!  

For those of you who have followed the newsletter and my Style DNA Podcast journey you will know that I have always been fascinated by why we wear what we wear and how we work out who we are stylistically.  

To many, style can be an intimidating and elusive concept but true style lies within each and every one of us. This book is about unlocking your personal Style DNA for YOU…at the end of the day you are the only person who truly matters and if you feel good in your clothes you will exude confidence. 

This book is not about trends…it is not even about fashion, (although I do draw on my 30+ years in the fashion industry), it is about how to work out who you are stylistically with no ugly labels attached to your body type or rules as to how you should or shouldn’t dress… I want to free women of all of that noise and give you simple tools to work out how your wardrobe can work for you and your personal Style DNA.  

I take the reader through my Style DNA Method to uncover their authentic style through instinct, memory and lived experience to distil their identity into a simple yet transformative three word Style DNA.  

I also explore how our style evolves through different chapters of our life…I address beauty, health and how we physically present ourselves to the world. Rather than constant reinvention, I champion refinement, wardrobe editing and buying with intention, encouraging women to dress for who they are now, not who fashion tells them to be.
