The app for independent voices

Out walking with Misha (my partner) today, we were folded into one of those small, luminous accidents that feel less like coincidence and more like the day answering back.

We ran into our neighbor Mags, who is 72 and gloriously alive! She generously allowed us to peak into the greenhouse studio of her partner, David, who is a wood sculptor.

Before long she was telling us the story of her life: singing, weaving, acting, following one creative thread after another into a life that is unmistakably her own.

When I thanked her for telling me about her artist journey, she laughed a little and said she doesn’t call herself that!

I keep thinking about how many people are living richly creative lives while standing just outside the word.

I’m thinking about interviewing Mags, as well as David, about their glorious artistic life.

Here’s a little peak at David’s wood sculpting studio and a piece he is working on.
