The app for independent voices

Omg yes. I also started getting all feisty in my seat when I was reading this. In these spaces I just want to scream What's your plan for caring for a person possibly for weeks who's having a crisis and could harm self or others, then let's talk!!! Everytime I've been in a serious situation like being homeless with kids, having a severe dissociative episode, living with an abuser and trying to get out, it's mostly crickets. And now that I'm a practitioner, I'm finding almost none of my clients who go through such difficult states have it either. Usually they are low in support options precisely because people know they could need extensive care and they know they don't wanna do it so they avoid that person. Knowing that and seeing that happen to ppl who I support makes me have serious skepticism whenever I go to something like this. But there should be stuff like this for sure! But then let's be honest to what extent we plan to care for ppl instead of kind of avoiding that. Because what it's gonna take to actually have community care is outside a lot of ppl's comfort zone tbh.
