Happy Tuesday warriors! Last day of packing and organizing before I leave for Arizona tomorrow. Taper is in full effect, trying to rest the body while the mind races with preparations. The house is in complete chaos right now. Piles of gear everywhere, drop bags spread across the floor, nutrition sorted into bags. Lauren is slowly going insane watching me rearrange things for the hundredth time. But soon this chaos will transform into mile after mile of expansive Arizona desert stretching in front of me. Just me, the trail, and 300 miles to cover. How do you run 300 miles? Simple, just run 1 mile and repeat it 300 times. Easy, right? Oh how I wish it were that straightforward. Nothing will be easy about the next week. This race will push me further than I've ever been pushed. I will have to dig deeper into reserves I'm not sure exist. Find strength when everything says stop. But in the end, it all comes down to that relentless forward motion. Fast or slow doesn't matter. Just forward. One mile at a time for 300 miles. Time to see what I'm made of. LFG
