Happy Wednesday warriors! Last-minute trip to Austin for a packed few days - recording a couple podcasts, spectating the BPN Last Man Standing race, hanging out with some incredible people, running some miles, and most exciting (and terrifying): my first official book signing. Which I just realized I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing. What if nobody shows up? What if I'm just sitting there alone at a table with a stack of books? The nerves are absolutely real. The fear is very real. I'm going to learn from this experience and probably make a ton of mistakes along the way. Good. That's how growth happens, in that uncomfortable zone where you have no idea what you're doing but you show up anyway. Stepping outside my comfort zone into something completely foreign. Author events, meeting readers, signing books, this is all new territory that has nothing to do with running miles or fighting fires. But that being said, I'm genuinely excited to meet people in Austin who've read the book or listened to the audiobook. Excited to hear how the story resonated. Excited to connect beyond just words on a page. Time to embrace the discomfort and see what happens. LFG
