Happy Sunday warriors! I missed writing these morning posts. You get into a solid routine of journaling every day, and then a 250-mile race completely disrupts the balance. But I'm back now. Getting into my familiar routines again. Recovery protocols have officially started - sauna, cold plunge, stretching, eating constantly. Sleep is still completely off. I'm starving 24/7 no matter how much I eat. My feet are incredibly painful - every step is a reminder of what just happened. Mouth, tongue, and throat are filled with sores from the relentless eating and fueling. No voice left whatsoever. But as I take a deep breath in right now, I'm reminded that I'm alive. And I feel incredibly lucky for that simple fact. Back home, surrounded by my family. Life is genuinely good despite the physical wreckage. And happy Mother's Day to my beautiful wife Lauren and to my mom as well. Remember, your mom ran a 5K, so anything is possible. Grateful to be here. Grateful for recovery. Grateful for family. Forward motion, even when forward is just healing. LFG
