Our cousin who said he would not get the shot, walked into our home one day. I could smell him 10 feet away and said to him that he finally got the shot, he deferred and I continued until he finally admitted he did get the shot so he could travel. I knew from the smell when he walked in the door and he was at least 10 feet away when I realized he had that sickly sweet smell!
There is a very distinct odour, I first noticed it outside on the golf course, while walking up to the Tee box immediately after someone else had teed off. I thought, gee, does everyone use the same fabric softener? It is a sickly sweet smell, I really noticed when 5 of my high school buddies arrived at my home for a road trip. It took 2 days for the smell to leave my home, and when I was on the road with my friend who advised me he had just received his first shot, a week earlier, I coughed for about an hour and a half. A very mild sickly sweet smell.
