These alien-looking plants stopped us in our tracks yesterday. Their pert buttermilk blooms looked like they were standing to attention, as if waiting for a signal from the sky.
A bit of sleuthing uncovered that they're American Skunk Cabbage, an invasive species. While having pretty flowers, they’re something you definitely don't want to stop and sniff 🦨🤢
Six months ago I passed this space and the flowers weren't there. While I've reported them, it's worrying how quickly they've multipled in such a short window 🤔
