Some sort of poltergeist just took over my feed and I was suddenly bombarded with a ton of “here’s how to make money on Substack” posts. So I’m here to remind myself and maybe you too that:

Sometimes the process is the reward.

Sometimes going to an online thesaurus and finding the exact right word to replace the flimsy word you initially chose is the reward.

Sometimes being really excited about your own thoughts is the reward.

Sometimes the Notes section of your phone being filled with more ideas than you could ever possibly write in this lifetime is the reward.
