📢The week of 16th March is certainly not going to be a quiet one. Starting with Nvidia’s GTC conference (along with OFC and Micron’s earnings on Wednesday) to a pivotal FOMC meeting and the quarterly chaos of Triple Witching, we need to brace ourselves for some volatility ahead.

đź’ŞSo far, for the month of March, our portfolio has been outperforming, up 1.27% MTD, compared to -3.6% for the S&P 500 and -2.2% for QQQ.

✔️At The Pragmatic Optimist, our playbook is simple. As long as we are below 6826, we expect the S&P 500 to continue lower towards the 6550-6600 level before it meaningfully bounces up higher (in the short term).

⚠️Having said that, we are carefully monitoring the bullish setup for DXY, which is a major area of macro concern for us, as a stronger dollar is a proxy for tighter liquidity, which in turn is bad for risk assets.
