To paint MAGA as I did as unconditionally supporting Trump is a strawman that is easily disproven - and by my own personal history, no less. I complained about Trump constantly almost from the very start of his first term, and I even publicly disavowed him in 2017. I only voted for him in 2020 because he was the ‘lesser evil’. I’ve known lots of other MAGAs complaining about Trump. But all of us were ‘loyal opposition’, as we were fixated on “the Current Thing topics that the media forcefeeds us”.

Which do not include the financial shenanigans that you and ⚯ Michel de Cryptadamus ⚯ write about. Even the vehemently anti-Trump, deep blue Hawaii media do not shed any light on that very dark side of the man. Yes, Orange Man Bad, but only in the ways they want to us to know about.

The ‘magic trick’ of the Regime is not North Korea-style totalitarianism. We are allowed to complain. We won’t be arrested, much less gulaged. But only certain complaints get amplified. While others are only read by a small number on platforms like this. Algorithms have stifled freedom of reach.

As for ‘independent’ journalism, we’re the closest thing to it. The supposedly ‘independent’ journalism site in Hawaii - Civil Beat (which I call “Hipsta Pravda”) was founded and is funded by billionaire eBay funder Pierre Omidyar. Recently a pro-Trump Wyoming billionaire founded/funded a counter-Civil Beat site, Aloha State Daily. Both sites stay within the $afe Zone. Leave - and lose funding.

I have no funding - no sugar daddy. I’m free to play outside the Zone. To look at it from the outside and laugh at its absurdity. To see the dark forces around it shaping and suffocating it. Some orange, some blue - and none on our side.
