After over 30 years of various iterations of my four children living in my home, I am on the cusp of change. I can see in the near distance a type of freedom I couldn’t even have imagined 10 years ago, when I was doing all that I could to keep my head above water.

So today, I am wondering: Do I continue serving as the hub for our family? Look for a new home that can accommodate all of us a few times a year? Or do I turn the focus on, gulp, me?

What is it I plan to do with this one wild and precious life?
