Make money doing the work you believe in

(P) is for Patience

Patience, both with our inner lives and our gardens, comes in five distinct phases of tending.

First, we have to prepare the soil. This is a time of slowing down, much like we did in late winter. Planning, enriching the soil, and tilling. Preparing the ground to accept our offerings.

Then we plant the seeds. With each seed we plant, we set an intention for growth.

We spend months after this watering and nurturing the seedlings. This is a time of persistence and patience.

We then surrender our control as we wait for the seedlings to flourish. What do we have the least control over? Weeds! We pull those weeds again with care.

Finally, we have our reward, the harvest.

Whether we are doing inner work or tending our vegetable or flower gardens, these steps guide us to the successful fruition of our intention: growth.
