It’s Monday. Sit down this morning and ask yourself “what is the most important thing for me to accomplish today?”
I am finding that as I carve out my day intentionally, and stick to most of it, I feel far less overwhelmed. As the daily springtime rhythms set in, and the kids get used to them, we all eventually find ourselves feeling better.
Matthew 5:37 says “let your yes be yes and your no be no.” This goes for anything in our lives. Whatever you are saying yes to means you’re saying no to something else that would be in its place. And the opposite is also true.
So today, make a list of what you’re saying yes to, and what you’re saying no to. Make two lists and fill them in, side by side. If something needs to switch places, switch them. But today, let your yes be a resounding yes!
Even before any of that, what does God want you to do today? Did you know that you can invite Him into your day, every day? His presence is everywhere, always. Seek Him, and you’ll find Him.
On my list today:
- wake up sourdough starter
- make cottage cheese
- discipleship class
- fold & put away all laundry
- catch up on emails
- get things ready before the storms move in
- set aside Bible time with the kids (coming up next!)
- homeschool with the littles
Did you know that in a farm home full of 4 children (including a 9 month old), this will probably take up the entire day? There will be so many times that fill in with normal life. It’s already 9:15 am.
Have some grace for yourself today, mama.
You’re doing great 🤍
