Please stop believing that upholding norms is going to cause them to do the same. Attorney General Merrick Garland sat on his hands for two years because he was worried about protecting the institution, and looked what happened! Trump got away within an attempted coup, in fact, we even normalized it by having there be no consequences. Trump also will desecrate the DOJ anyway, and have it do his bidding. Look where Garland got us!

It's time for a different approach folks. There is no appeasing these people. I understand we have to protect our institutions, but I also believe they need to have a taste of their own medicine and see how it sits with them. It's time to stop bringing butter knives to a gun fight, it's time for strength!
