I don't like it when my predictions come one step closer to being proven correct. Maybe it's because my predictions tend to fall on the horrible-to-downright-evil spectrum.

Two days ago I suggested that the Trump administration is deliberately trying to lose the war, so that they have carte blanche to reshape the institutional landscape in the US.

If they lose the war, the public derision and calls for impeachment, and broad sentiment of dissent will all be collected and fed to the FBI so that the Administration can clamp down hard on everyone they label as “domestic terrorists”.
