I wonder whether the Republicans who voted to confirm Todd Blanche today realize how precarious this moment is. Do they even care? Or are so many of them so drunk on their own power they think they can ride out wherever this leads? Do they think Jesus will come back and save them from consequences? That these decisions will give them gilded mansions in heaven, and that’s why they’re so on board with so much shit-gilding on earth? I don’t have answers, but some group of adults, somewhere on this planet, need to realize where this is headed before we are all dragged into the pit.
