As a woman, I’m going to take this in a different direction. The Fascist Republican Party is openly telling women they will revoke our right to vote. Fascist Republicans are openly saying women should die rather than be given an abortion. Fascist Republicans are openly saying contraception is bad. Fascist Republicans are openly saying divorce is bad.

Fascist Republicans are also saying, “We will force you to give birth and send your children to schools where they can be slaughtered by military-grade weapons.”

Fascist Republicans are also saying, “You are a baby-making vessel, not a human being, and we have every right to inspect every aspect of your life and behavior if you have a miscarriage. Because maybe you did something to cause it.”

Fascist Republicans are also saying, “We don’t care how many times he hits you or your children or rapes you, you will stay married to him.”

And then when we call Fascist Republicans out for openly saying and implying these things, they call women hysterical.

This is a textbook example of gaslighting. It exists to make the speaker doubt herself while giving others permission to doubt the speaker.

Women are not hysterical. We are not unhinged. We are not overreacting.

This isn’t only the rotten chief justice saying these things. It is the Fascist Republican Party saying them.
