I wouldn't know for sure, but I think the water problem for Trump might be centered around Niagra Falls. Our Hydro electric facility effectively controls the amount of water going over the falls and we are easily is a position to cut off supply to the American side and benefit from the electricity generation. And now we also threaten to cut off electricity supply? That's gotta be a point of contention in his mind.

I'd fire back with the Sault locks being entire on the American side and control over them is nerfing our industries on lake Superior. Also that their farming activities have uncontrolled run offs and terrible hygiene violations resulting and poisionning lake Erie with constant Algae blooms. We also don't want their meat and dairy that doesn't meet our standards.

The border issue in BC is a dumb old fight that was settled poorly. It's valid enough to bring it up again, but the actual value of it is miniscule. It could totally be settled without threats of annexation.
