Eight months on a knife-edge: in my article, I reconstruct the framework of Sino-Iranian relations between solemn declarations and strategic retreats. An analysis that highlights Beijing's real impotence in the face of war crises and the fragility of a diplomatic network that seems to vanish as soon as fighting begins.
