Hello Substack community and fellow writers!

I recently launched my newsletter Spirit & Sword with the simple mission to tell true stories in hopes of kindling readers’ curiosity. Stories of real people and events — from the dawn of time till present day — to get people to feel, to wonder, to question, to grow.

Because in our ragebait, 2…

The stories we tell ourselves matter

Be bored more often.

Go for long walks. Meditate. Journal your thoughts. Read new books. Spend time alone without devices. You would get to understand yourself a lot much better. Your brain gets the best ideas when it is left to wander.

In those quiet moments, you'll uncover clarity and inspiration that can't be found in constant stimulation.

Sometimes I fantasize about disappearing.

Not dying.

Just logging off.

Getting a job no one cares about.

Growing tomatoes.

Writing poems in the margins of a notebook no one reads.

Not as a failure.

But as a kind of freedom.

Best mental reset I’ve learned:

If your mind is loud — Write.

If your mind is empty — Read.

If your mind is racing — Walk.

If your mind is tired — Sleep.

If your mind is sharp — Build.

Most problems are just mismatched energy. Get the inputs right, the rest follows.

Don’t chase the next, digest the now.

Pause and revisit one insight you already have — and act on it.

Ask yourself: If I applied what I already know, what would I do next?

America cannot long remain free, nor first among nations, if it becomes the kind of place where universities are dismantled because they don't align politically with the current head of the government.

We were meant to create not to consume. That's why we are sad when we do nothing.

I'm a medical doctor, but I had to leave the system to tell the truth.

Most of what you’re told about your health is incomplete or completely wrong.

You’re stuck in a system that profits from your symptoms, not your healing.

In my Substack, I write the truth I wasn’t allowed to say inside the system.

If you're exhausted, unwell, and unheard, say hi! 🙌

Comfort is where potential goes to die.

We become addicted to mediocrity — not through collapse, but through the subtle, daily act of refusing to face reality as it is, not as we hoped it would be.

We distract ourselves.

We sleepwalk through life.

Bit by bit, we habituate ourselves into a life we hate —and convince ourselves we can’t escape.

I heard this yesterday from a paralegal and it makes sense. Do not invoke the Charter. The way it is worded, it puts onus on you to prove that what they are doing isn’t justified under article 1. I think many including me have been misunderstanding. Use the Canadian Bill of Rights only because it is absolutely clear on human rights and no exception. This bill from 1960 had Royal Assent and is in full effect. The government is using the Charter against us and doesn’t want you to invoke the Bill

They do not, and Brian Peckford also. Why? Manchurian?
