sometimes i wonder how many versions of myself i’ve outgrown without even noticing. i look back at old photos and remember the thoughts i used to carry, the dreams i thought would save me. it’s strange how you can live inside yourself every day and still not realize you’re evolving. it’s only when you look back that you realize how far you’ve come, how many lives you’ve already lived in the same skin.

Over here in the UK our allotment (plot size about 60x40 feet) has produced blackberries, broad beans, French beans, pumpkins, ornamental gourds, chard, beetroot, cucumber, zucchini, leeks, shallots, plums, pears. We started the year with some reasonable asparagus too. Our tomatoes down there (it's 6 minutes away from the house, below sea level) were rather pathetic probably because it gets quite windy, but our dahlia collection was and is fantastic.
