TRAVELING THROUGH THE PLAY-DOUGH REALM
5/12/2026
“How did we get inside?” I ask my pilot companion. Last I remember, we were about to crash into a river of whirlpools. Now, we’re suddenly flying inside the secret facility I’ve been trying to sneak into for weeks.
“We took a shortcut through The Play-Dough Realm,” she casually responds. “That layer of reality is more responsive and less bound by rules.” I get a visual of my face as it exists in The Play-Dough Realm. My appearance is swirling and morphing through sometimes cartoonish, sometimes hyper-realistic, and sometimes other inarticulable and abstract features. Just as I start to think there is something recognizable, it transforms in a flurry of colors and shapes. CRASH. Our plane goes through a large sheet of glass to exit the facility. I have no memory of what transpired inside.
Are we back in the Play-Dough realm? I’m watching a video game I think. A simulation of Arthur, the children’s show? It’s breaking my brain. “I think I’d rather go back to the plane,” I say.
The dream shifts again. I’m holding a metal cylindrical container. It’s metallic blue with a screw-on lid. I unscrew and flip the lid upside down. It fits this way too but it’s just a press fit—not screwed on with threads. This side of the lid is red in color. I find the different lid modes useful. Screwed on with threads when you want it to be tight and secure, and the red side for when you need quick and easy access to the container’s contents.
I wonder if this is what I’ve been trying to find inside the facility.
