This is not a post about “cancel culture” per se, but at least one aspect of “cancel culture” gives me a lot of hope as a working artist.

On some level “cancel culture” implies that lots of people are not interested in consuming art from artists who are inhumane.

I find this quite comforting. It means that human connection is an important aspect of why people value art.

I try to remember this when I get worried that I may be replaced by something even less human than shitty people: AI.
