The app for independent voices

I don’t have any personal interest in AI.

I do have problems with it. I can acknowledge it’s a terrifyingly powerful technology and I do deeply respect computer scientists.

But when it comes to creativity, why is that it’s always “this will replace artists” and never “this could replace the huge business infrastructure that gobbles up most of the profits the artists generate”?

I personally don’t want to replace any humans with AI, but this latter argument seems much more plausible, right?

I have to imagine, most folks would be more of a fan of an indie musician whose entire team / label is AI, than they are excited for an AI musician that lines the pockets of business people?

Is the business side racing to replace artists with AI as a kind of projection to secure the same not happening to them?

Like I said. I don’t want to replace anyone with AI. I mostly like to work with humans. But I do want the ethics and power balance to shift to artists in the creative economy.
