I changed my Substack settings. Now all my writing is free. Previous settings allowed all posts to be viewed by anyone for three weeks, but then they went into a closed archive for paid subscribers only. I would like all the things I’ve written to be as accessible as possible. People are encouraged to pay only if they wish to support my work in tangible ways. I appreciate the support of all my subscribers, free and paying, and I hope you find what I write as a helpful form of conversation. For those who choose to pay, thank you. I use the money to foster inspiration, such as paying for webinars, annual memberships, subscriptions, and equipment like computer stuff and internet access. All this keeps things going. I try to post at least once a week, but sometimes it is every other week. I feel guilty when I miss a week, like I’m shorting the paid subscribers. Free access is also a way to ease that pressure. I will post when the writing is ready to be shared, but my own general guide is to attempt once a week. Deadlines seem to give me structure and a good stress. You are welcome to adjust your subscription levels at any time, or contact me if you have questions or suggestions.
