Make money doing the work you believe in

There’s definitely something off about the job market, at least here in the PNW. We have a mismatch between the numbers of people in some professions and the need for that profession. If you need a licensed specialist (electrician, roofer, etc) to do some work on your house it can take two months before they can schedule you. Same with seeing a doctor. Same with scheduling surgery or anything that requires a nurse. Large organizations are doing layoffs. Yet at the same time, many small businesses have “help wanted” signs in their windows. In addition to shock over higher prices, there’s a frustration factor that keeps people aggravated when they cannot find the goods and services they need or they have to wait months to get them, regardless of cost. It’s not an easily measurable vibe, but it’s there.
