To everyone demanding that China reacts rather than responds to America’s gangster invasion of a sovereign nation that wasn’t doing them any harm, what do you think happens if it does?

Let’s think it through. Have you seen the size of the a US fleet surrounding Venezuela, all the way over the other side of the world to China? For starters, how do you keep a massive operation supplied thousands of miles from home? If it wades in with military might, the gesture might give comfort but it would only be temporary. The price to pay for the dopamine hit is that it would wear down China’s forces just it gears up to defend itself from American-led assault off its coast, risking giving a long term victory to forces that seek to enslave humanity.

Why do you think the US keeps provoking China?

A war wearing down China’s arms stocks, its human forces and giving away its strategy, is exactly what Washington wants. China is unbeatable in its own sphere, which is where America wants the final knockdown, most likely around Taiwan. The US wants to weaken that enormous power. The think-tanks gave a 2027 deadline beyond which there would be no hope at all of any sort of victory. Add to that the prospect of mid-term elections clipping Trump’s wings from November, unless he stops it with martial law or some such, and you have a desperate, cornered feral beast with only a year of unfettered power left. Not that the Democrats will be any kinder (remember Biden), but political infighting in Washington would slow them down.

I'd summarise China’s policy as, "never do what your enemy wants you to do". If you have to fight, do it on your own terms and on the battlefield of your own choosing. We have a good idea where that's going to be.

As for the repetition of the narrative that it’s China being aggressive to Taiwan when America has repeatedly used it to threaten the mainland and never stopped arming it, the public is increasingly wise to that schtick, especially after watching the banditry taking place.

Venezuela is suffering and has been since it was punished with sanctions for taking charge of its own resources and keeping them out of the hands of a savage empire for so long. But the shock of the invasion has been a massive wake-up call for the world. Our hearts are with you, as with Palestine. You will have your day.
