okay that makes sense! I usually hear nationalism in reference to Christian nationalism. But from my perspective, like CS Lewis says, “every square inch is being claimed by Christ and counterclaimed by the devil.” There is no neutrality. A country either seeks (imperfectly) to base morality on God’s truth, or they walk towards evil. Men either love darkness or they love light.

But if you’re referencing nationalism when it comes to how we view ourselves—I agree! We are so much more than citizens of a nation (although we are not less than that).
