By December 2023, I had 390 subscribers.

By June 2024, I had 751 free /48 paid.

In September 2024, I now have 4,440 free / 316 paid.

What caused such a drastic jump from July to September?

I decided to publish my book, Lonely Girl, serially on Substack and I wasn’t afraid to promote it!

• I shared my writing daily on Substack, Instagram, and TikTok

• Talked candidly about my goals with my followers

• Shared progress reports with my followers

• Focused solely on storytelling in all of my content

As writers, it’s easy to get protective over our work.

But the numbers don’t lie.

Self-promotion works.

So, get out there and share your writing!
