Last night over cocktails, an acquaintance asked me, “how is your book coming along?” And then expressed encouragement for the work I’ve already put into my Substack articles. I didn’t know they were reading my stuff all along. It was so validating to know that the words I put into the void here are having an impact on the tangible community around me — even at times I feel exposed with the number of familiar (and some hostile) eyes on my story.

I’m not quitting writing, I’m reinventing the best avenues to keep sharing my words in spite of those who wish I’d just shrivel up and shut up. Hope you all do the same, too — there’s a cabal of powerful and evil men who are giving licensure to other weak and insecure dicks who will ALWAYS feel threatened by a woman’s confident voice to bully them with impunity… I refuse to let those weak losers win in my life.
