I just got an email from a free subscriber thanking me for gifting her a free month of my newsletter. She forwarded me the email she’d received, purportedly from my substack email, which said, “Anne Kadet gifted you 30 days of paid subscription to CAFÉ ANNE!”

The thing is, I did not do this! Also, it is very silly, because everything on my newsletter is free.

Does anyone know why Substack is doing this, and how to make it stop?
