A short bit of thinking here on Good Friday. I remember this day as a child, but only as a child. In Catholic school and trying hard to believe in the teachings but knowing that the inconsistencies made very little sense. I knew as a tiny child that there was not a god who would send someone to burn for eating meat on Friday and then as that “mortal sin” was rescinded…I knew other things were very doubtable. When meeting and marrying someone Jewish, I learned, as I always knew deep inside that anyone in this world is good enough for heaven, if there just was one. But, life is not fair and so I know that we know very little except that energy never dies and if you study religion you know why it was created. Yet, believe as you wish, every single person on earth, and beyond, because much of what man has created is beautiful. The rituals, the costuming, the incense and the memories it all brings forth. These things teach us that there is something, someone, that is the source of this wondrous world and no god would leave any one out of the beauty.
….Here are my $4.99 flowers of the week from Trader Joe’s…Solandis Carnations, I believe, although this time the tag said dianthus…
