Suspended vs resigned

This is an important distinction to make when considering all of the recently elected Reform councillors who have been revealed as domestic violence perpetrators; Nazis; Holocaust deniers; white supremacists; anti-black racists; etc

If Reform announce that they've been suspended, that means they're just out of the Reform group on the local council, not out of the council itself.

When they do this, that means that Reform and Reform voters helped get a Nazi; violent criminal thug; Holocaust denier; or whatever elected, and they're still there, on the council, almost certainly casting their vote to support Reform's agenda, until they can be quietly let back into the Reform fold when the fuss has died down a bit.

When depraved Reform councillors resign in disgrace, that means they're quitting as a councillor, necessitating a by-election.

Because by-elections cost money, this is Reform expecting the public finances to pick up the cost of their negligent lack of due diligence on the diabolical candidates they put up for election.
