The famous Tesla Store in the P.C. Hooftstraat in Amsterdam opened its doors.
"There I stood, in an overpriced chic shopping street, gaping at a kind of sterile refrigerator on wheels that had been ceremoniously parked in a display window. As I wondered why this minimalistic piece of white goods deserved a place of honor, a horde of exaggerated admirers around me were drooling as if they had just witnessed a holy grail of battery technology.
I truly didn't understand an iota of that collective delight over a car that looks like its designer retired halfway through. Oh well, in a fit of ironic dutifulness and because I was there anyway, I took some pictures out of sheer amazement. Later, when history shows whether this was a brilliant revolution or simply the most expensive fad ever, I can at least have a hearty laugh at my 'visionary' gaze as a contemporary Tesla hater."
