Social media bans make some sense to me, but Instagram and Meta provide parents with a lot of tools to monitor and curate youth experiences. So I'm concerned about the kinds of places children might go online when they can no longer access established apps. Think about this like an Italian 18-year-old drinking a low-alcohol spritz with free snacks at a bar vs. an American 18-year-old getting blackout drunk in the basement with supermarket beers.
