Make money doing the work you believe in

I don't watch superhero movies because they are not immersive enough for me to suspend belief. In the real world the superheroes would just take over governance.

The movies have actually become part of the liberal Narrative. Cities are dystopic tax farms and vote banks staffed by incompetents, with large concentrations of mentally ill people. But the soothing Narrative from these movies is that the comical, hyped-up villains are enemies of the peace, prosperity and capable operation of our cities.

Superman coming to bust the public sector unions, smash everything to the ground and rebuild in Art Deco, now that I'd watch.

That actually sounds like what Coppola was trying to put together in Megalopolis but apparently he's gotten too egomaniacal to let a decent editor refine his film work into a coherent movie.
