Since I was a little kid I've had train wreck fascination with people who act like they have a highly informed opinion that's been solicited.... when in reality their opinion is jaw-droppingly UNinformed and completely UNsolicited. Witnesses are left with two possibilities: 1. The person honestly believes he's qualified which makes him delusional. or 2. The person is well aware which makes the behavior unprovoked aggression. Either way, the only productive response I've found is avoidance.

I loved Adam and the Ants since he first hit Boston in 1980(?). It was before he became popular here. Then there were the Dead Kennedies (Kennedys?), the Jam, Pychodelic Furs, Then there was 'die deutsche Invasion' a few years later. The German language originals were on the air and no longer 'new' when the English versions were released. My German prof told us enrollment in his department spiked during this time.
