I feel like Lent is a repentance from seeking my own comfort at the expense of others. It’s training me to seek the freedom, healing and wholeness (body and soul) of my fellow man at cost to myself.

Lent is a return to the practice of peacemaking. It’s an opportunity to train myself not to be externally religious yet hateful towards my fellow man, but rather to be about the work of sowing peace in the wisdom (which is foolish to the world and my flesh) and power (which seems like weakness) of Christ.
