Looking only at South Africa as an example is fundamentally flawed because it was a nation of anglo-dutch settlers. As we have observed with modern Britain, Canada, and Australia (to a lesser extent) is that the Anglo conscience is uniquely prone to guilt. This has effectively neutered all of these societies because their guilt centers are being hijacked to spew empathy for a foreign people that hates them - nowhere can that be better seen than in South Africa.

This neglects the ethnic consciences of the Iberians, Latins, French, German, Balkan, Slavic, and Nordic peoples - who are all doing considerably better. This is true even in Germany where, despite having their nation dismantled twice in the past century, despite being partially occupied by communists with a racial grievance against them, and despite taking in more syrians than anywhere else in Europe during the 2014 refugee crisis, Germany STILL manages to be less repressive and migrant-centric than the Yookay.

That being said, the Anglosphere is cooked. Suicidal empathy has been a known problem in our nations since the 1800s.
