People saying they prefer human work to AI work generally would not know which was which unless they were told. I suppose whether that makes such proclamations a matter of principle or mere virtue signalling is debatable and case-specific. Regardless, it is the oft-unexamined (yet far more compelling) economic component that truly drives much of that discourse.
