This morning I was working in the garden and dozens of bees 🐝 swarmed around me. They were busy working in the garden too and were curious about what I was doing there. 🐝As I tied up one of my huge zucchini plants to large steak, that seems determined to take over the garden😳, I assured them that I wasn't a threat to them. Not sure they understood that but maybe they sensed that I wasn't afraid of them, and I respect them and what they were doing, because they went back to their business of pollinating and I went back to mine of trying to organize what has quickly turned into an out of control zucchini jungle lol. 😂 Fear is a bad vibe in nature and nature takes notice and acts accordingly. It meets you with whatever energy you put forth. I am learning it is very reflective of whatever is going on inside you. And I am learning, slowly, to calmly respect and respond to the creatures out here rather than see everything around me as a threat. I am finding that things go much smoother when I do. Everything is unique and has its own job to do even if I don't always understand what that is. I don't have to fully understand to trust that and work with it because resistance to it only makes life harder for me. I feel like working with nature, rather than the adversarial and dominant approach modern farming methods have forced upon the earth, are met with a less hostile response from nature... if that makes sense. Could be my imagination but I don't think so. Regerative agriculture is how we improve our relationship with the earth. And perhaps that same attitude- cooperation and respect- is how we improve our relationships with one another. I think there is a lot that can be learned from nature. It is very humbling.
