Today I battled tomato hornworms, mice or rats, who knows, ants, slugs, and stifling heat and humidity, and itty bitty bunnies that have made their way into our garden. It's been a day, to say the least. Nonetheless I will get up and do it all again tomorrow. Days like today I really wish that I could ask my grandparents how they did It. It makes me sad that so much of that knowledge has not been passed on. Convenience has robbed us of so much rich knowledge. Here I am, like so many others trying to figure it out on my own when my ancestors had it down. I am learning but the curve is sharp. What I wouldn't give for a conversation with my grandpa.
