I’m not in academia myself, but from everything I’ve been hearing and everyone I’ve been talking to, it seems like the biggest issue with AI in education is a point that get flagged at the end of the article: AI shouldn’t be used when you need to learn.
I really feel for educators right now. I have no clue how you reconcile the need to keep up with and incorporate technologies that students are going to use with the fact that those technologies can hurt the students’ abilities to learn and think.
