The deep historical ignorance of leftist anti Zionists is shocking, considering how much they allegedly CARE ABOUT Palestinians. It’s almost as if the Palestinians are beside the point, an excuse for the main event of hating Jews in general, and the only Jewish state in particular.

The new state of Israel didn’t “steal Palestinian land” because there never was a Palestinian state to ‘steal’ from. There never were such a people called “Palestinians” until decades after Zionism. I’m not saying that Palestinians don’t see themselves as a distinct people now, and it’s fine to hop onto nationalism later than others, because in the end the nation-state concept is pretty new, and new countries are still being created. But the leftist belief that Israel is on stolen land, that Israelis are ‘occupiers’ is ahistorical bullshit. The land was occupied by the British empire. Both Jews and local Arabs were contesting for a country of their own. The UN proposed two new countries over the former territory of the British Mandate of Palestine, previously a remote, unimportant, depopulated province of the Ottoman empire. These two new countries would be no different than India and Pakistan, two new countries emerging from the former British India territory in a 1947 partition acknowledged by the UN.

Many countries emerged in the 1940s-1960s out of crumbling foreign empires, and in many cases they were new national entities. In many cases different indigenous groups fought over the same territory - India, Sri Lanka, Burma, and on and on. Hell, we all got to watch Yugoslavia fall apart in the 1990s into seven new countries, with overlapping claims for each other’s land, all with a long history of living on the land or near it, and nobody is trying to claim none of them should exist, or they must be forced back into a ‘multi-cultural’ single entity. But for some reason leftist morons insist on just that for Israel, where there is zero historical question that Jews had a presence in the land for thousands of years before the Arab invasion, and had several Jewish political entities there in former kingdoms.

Here’s a useful list, especially for those who get fed pro Palestinian propaganda, of the kingdoms and empires that controlled the land of Israel, now called the State of Israel (and Gaza). I’m bolding the periods where Jews or Arabs were in political control of this land.

As you can see, no historical Palestinian state, and it was ‘Arab land’ for a relatively short while, a very long time ago.

There would have been an actual Palestine in 1948, had the Palestinians not preferred to refuse the UN partition plan, and attack the Jewish Yishuv with the goal of genocide and ethnic cleansing for 630 thousand Jews a mere two years after the Holocaust (Palestinian nationalist leaders actively worked with the Nazis during WW2). There is no prize for trying to destroy another internationally recognized country. Aggressors in wars may lose territory, and the Palestinians don’t get to reclaim the partition plan area after trying to deny Israel’s existence with major violence.

There could have been an actual Palestine at some point between 1948 and 1967, when Egypt controlled Gaza and Jordan controlled the West Bank, both territories completely ethnically cleansed of Jews. It would have been slightly smaller than the territory decided on in the UN, but still a state. The reality is that Arab countries never intended for the Palestinians to have a state, even when they invaded the new state of Israel in 1948, allegedly to help the Palestinians with their genocidal goal.

There would be have been a fully established Palestine already, had the Palestinians accepted the many proposals in negotiations with Israel, instead of resorting to horrifying, sadistic terrorism again and again. The Palestinians (and their anti Jewish, mainly leftist supporters) have never been serious about peace - not in the 1920s, not in the 1940s, not in the 1990s and not now. The reason they don’t have a state isn’t because ‘Israel stole Palestinian land’, it’s because they cannot choose something other than the destruction of the state of Israel, and a genocide and ethnic cleansing for 7 million Israeli Jews, and ‘collaborator’ death and expulsion for many of the 2 million Israeli Arabs. This is what the left supports - the same goals of the Muslim Brotherhood in the 1920s, and the current goals of Hamas and Palestinian islamic Jihad.

The road to peace, and a state of Palestine, can only progress after the military destruction of Hamas. The left actively wants to prevent that, because they don’t CARE ABOUT the Palestinians. The left aligns with the Hamas goals of destroying Israel, as the useful idiots and anti-Jewish racists that they are. Like Hamas they prefer perpetual war to the compromise Palestine that should have existed as far back as 1948. The left is amoral, and it is ignorant. Don’t listen to their stupidity and repeat it as if it makes sense.
