It’s peony season so do give them a cold water bath ideally over night if you can or a few hours at least if they are still tight in bud and most when bought are. They will thank you for it and last much longer as cut flowers. It works with all peonies regardless of variety and colour including white ones , here they are bathing with hellebores in good seed pod and they are at their best if picked now not flopping nightmares as they are earlier in the year.
