→ NB: Israel has a budget for this, and involves influencers in its effort which is intended to build legitimacy for the genocide AND to “deter the enemy”, a direct war goal.
-> NB: “diplomatic credit” refers to western government receptivity but probably also citizen level support, as it is both citizens and politicians, including the US presidency, whom they have named as targets.

"What is Israel doing? And what is the Israeli policy? Israel missed an opportunity to create a policy of pressure at the start of the war, and after 18 months, it is [acting as though] it is carrying out a different policy," said Subcommittee Chair MK Turpaz. "The issue of humanitarian aid is an essential part of the war effort. It cannot be detached from the manner in which we view the State of Israel as a Jewish state."
