Using recent U.S. Census data, this tool estimates spare-bedroom capacity for a ZIP code, city, county, state, or even the whole country. It does not count vacant homes, vacation homes, or second homes. Instead, it focuses on occupied homes and asks a narrower question: how much possible housing capacity may already exist if more people were willing to say yes to co-living?
