Make money doing the work you believe in

Got a virus that’s left you with chest or nasal congestion and a cough?

I have a remedy that might help you get through the cold season. Have you heard of mullein? It’s a plant that, when taken medicinally (a tea works great), can loosen and expel mucus from the chest and sinuses. It can also soothe the throat.

It also has many other benefits, like digestive and anti-inflammatory effects. It sure helps when you’re feeling the cold symptoms.

To make a tea, add a couple of teaspoons of mullein leaf to a cup of boiling water. Cover and let it steep for at least five minutes. Strain out the leaf. Then add some raw honey for extra healing benefits. Two or three cups a day sure helps when you’re feeling your poorest.

I have to say this has helped my family, but I am NOT a doctor and do not recommend this for everyone, as there may be contraindications with meds, pregnancy, and nursing moms. Be sure to consult your doc if you have any concerns before consuming.

This is just one of the many things I cover in the paid subscription. Folk remedies with herbs and plants, such as mullein, offer great benefits to the homemaker seeking natural ways to assist her family.
