While working on those Oathmark kingdoms yesterday, a friend and I were talking about how you might reasonably include Orcs and Goblins in an ersatz-Christian nation in this setting. I brought up Rick Stump's "Goblintown" RPG supplement (harbingergames.blogspot…) which is where they take captured orcs and goblins who agree to convert from devil worship and be baptized and said I could entertain something like that; however, I didn't think any of the orcs, gobbos, hobbos, bugbears, trolls, or whateve that I had 'looked' like they might be a holy and civilized people. We asked around on his discord and got this recommendation for what might be 'civilized orcs.'

For one thing, they stand very erect, and their upright posture represents their newfound probity. Also they are not wearing tatterdemalian clothes. One might even imagine them looking clean.

Any other suggestions for civilized humanoid monsters?
